Pantone 2017: Greenery

Pantone has selected the new color of the year 2017. It will be Greenery. Leatrice Eisenman, Executive Director of Pantone Color Institute, explains that Greenery “bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the hope we collectively yearn for amid a complex social and political landscape. Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate, revitalize, and unite, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature”.

I have to say that I’m not a super fan of greenish tones but if this one bring us hope and joy because it’s symbolic of new beginnings, I would love it forever. 

Pantone ha seleccionado el nuevo color de 2017. Será Greenery –en castellano ‘vegetación’ o ‘verdor’–. Leatrice Eisenman, Directora Ejecutiva del Instituto Pantone, explica que Greenery “estalla en 2017 para aportarnos la esperanza que todos anhelamos con el complejo panorama social y político actual. Satisface nuestro creciente deseo de rejuvenecer, revitalizarnos y unirnos, Greenery simboliza la reconexión que buscamos con la naturaleza”.

Debo confesar que no soy una fan de los tonos verdosos pero, si este no trae esperanza y dicha porque simboliza nuevos comienzos, lo querré siempre.
